Here’s a unique way to entertain guests, kids or friends. Rent a kayak or pedal boat and enjoy the view from out on the water. Witness a variety of wildlife, fish or just enjoy the scenery. All ages welcome - Youth ages 15 & under must be accompanied by an adult during any boat rental.

FISHING GUIDELINES

All persons over 17 years of age must have a current T.P.W.D. Texas Freshwater Fishing License. Fishing is catch and release only. No casting nets or trout lines allowed.

BOATING GUIDELINES

No motorized boats permitted. Personal canoes and kayaks are allowed. Persons in canoes or kayaks must wear a life jacket at all times.

RENTAL INFORMATION

Pavilion & Pumphouse facilities are available to rent for birthday parties, family reunions and corporate functions. For more information including rates and availability contact the McAllen Parks and Recreation Administration Office at (956) 6813333.

YOGA BY THE LAKE

Start your weekend off right with yoga! Intentional breathing relieves stress and tension within the body and mind while the physical movement increases circulation and range of motion in a gentle and gradual way. Suitable for any body type and skill level. Bring a yoga mat or small blanket. DATE: Saturdays, October – December TIME: 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. FEE: $5 per person. Payment accepted on-site.

RENTAL POLICIES

• All children ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult. • All watercraft rentals include life jackets, which must be worn at all times. • A valid driver’s license is required for all rentals. • Participation waiver must be signed and approved by rental manager for all riders.

Purchase a variety of fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables from local growers and farms. Vendors also sell handmade breads, fresh eggs, grass fed beef, soaps, jams, jellies and more natural products.
