Copy the file install.sh from the following location to the desktop on the ePO server. <ePO installation directory>/DB/Software/Current/EPOAGENT3700MACX/INSTALL/0409 Use the ePO web console for downloading the MA package. Sign in to the ePO console. Click on “System Tree”. Select the System Tree Action, New Systems. From the section of How to add systems, select Create and download agent installation package. Now on the Select Agent Package section, enter the required credentials, and then hit the Ok button. c. Open the Terminal on the Mac. d. Type cd desktop and press Enter key on your keyboard, to find on the Desktop. e. Enter sudo chmod +x Install.sh and tap the ENTER key on your keyboard. f. Now you will be prompted to provide the password, enter it correctly. g. Type sudo ./install.sh –I to start the installing and press the ENTER key on your keyboard. h. Again enter the password when prompted. When the installation will finish you will get a notification in the Terminal Window.
Steps to Uninstall McAfee agents on a Mac
a. Log in as administrator. b. Go to the Terminal Window. c. Enter the suitable command for your Mac version and hit the ENTER. o For MA 4.8: sudo /Library/McAfee/cma/uninstall.sh o For MA 5.x: sudo /Library/McAfee/cma/scripts/uninstall.sh d. Enter the password and press the ENTER key on your keyboard. o You will be displayed a message â&#x20AC;&#x153;McAfee agent stoppedâ&#x20AC;? during removal. e. When the process will complete restart your Mac.
