>>> SEVENTH NATIONAL MEDICAL BANKING INSTITUTE ABOUT MB|PROJECT The Medical Banking Project invites the bank into a global dialogue to strengthen our healthcare system. Better value in health, lower transaction costs and consumerism are paramount concerns in healthcare. Over the past five decades, the banking community has invested in systems that can be leveraged to improve each of these areas. MB|Project hosts events throughout the year, including the Institute, leadership Forums, meeting with the Joint Taskgroup for Value In Health, online workgroups and more – all to broaden understanding and awareness of convergence of healthcare and banking systems. By convening banks, healthcare organizations, policy makers, commercial leaders and others, MB|Project seeks to improve the quality of life in communities around the world by “converting digital savings into charitable resources”.

Help us to transform the industry by sponsoring the Institute…and get noticed in a whole new industry segment!

DID YOU KNOW? >>> We expect over 200 C-level executives from banking, healthcare, technology, automotive, pharmaceutical and government to participate in our working conference. We will feature two targeted educational tracks, Medical Banking Boot Camp, a Networking Reception Gala and more. >>> SEVENTH NATIONAL MEDICAL BANKING INSTITUTE WHY SPONSOR THE INSTITUTE? The Institute is produced by MB|PROJECT, widely recognized as a pioneering authority and creator of the term “medical banking” to denote this dynamic area. In 1996, “medical banking” was a pipe dream. To stimulate national dialogue, our founder drafted the first White Paper outlining policy issues that could ignite this area but it was largely ignored until April 2001 when the Bush Administration let the HIPAA Privacy Rule stand. This set into motion a compelling cornerstone in medical banking because many banks must now comply with HIPAA. Following this seminal event, MB|Project organized a series of industry firsts: • • • • •

White Paper – used by majority of national banks to assess HIPAA risks HIPAA Policy Roundtable with HIPAA Gang – a bi-monthly webcast that sifted through HIPAA impacts in banking and formed the national debate The Great American Interoperability Tour™ – a unique, 10 stakeholder educational series picked up by CNBC, focused on medical banking C.O.M.B.A.T. Initiative – an open source project that brought in Disney, AIAG, AHA, HIMSS, IHE, National Health Council, Family Voices and others And we’re doing much more to facilitate medical banking today!
