Félix María de Samaniego was born on October 12, 1745 in La Villa de Laguardia, Álava, the son of Félix Ignacio Sánchez de Samaniego y Munibe, and Juana María Teresa Zabala y Arteaga Of noble descent, his father had more than enough resources so that Felix could dedicate himself to study
