DARKSIDE 10° ANNIVERSARY Darkside 2.0 "The darkside of the force" 10 years goes by from the first launch of the series ‘Elite Surf’ and then every 3 years we developed the series ‘Titanium’ and then the ‘Darkside’ one, making innovative steps forwards materials from resins to connections and assembly process. To celebrate these 10 years, we introduced the new series ‘darkside 2.0’ with 12 brand new models with the exclusive putover conical connection. The new fine-tuning material made by Reglass has the logo ‘M7’ that identify the high modulus at 24.000 filaments with the exclusive ‘Ultralight multiwall System 2 High Tensile 760 grade carbon fibre". The new carbon core came from the application of ‘black sun core’ patent studied and developed into Reglass labs, modifying the molecular structure of the core with a specific impregnating system that increase the mechanical performances of prepreg. The formula ‘Super toughened epoxy resins’ turns the final product black giving an innovative look. To increase the technical features, we used a system of resins already used into aerospace sector, the ‘Super vibrational damping epoxy resin’ where the damping of vibrations into composite structures allowed to produce a series of high performance rods.
Reglass is the Italian company that produce the rods Elite Darkside and boasts more than 20 national and international patents and it’s on the list of researching labs certified from MIUR (Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca Italiano). Reglass is constantly studying new solutions in collaboration with C.N.R (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche) and different universities, for having a carbon tissue always perfect and reliable. “we are the one and only Italian company that start from the filament to have the prepreg”. The production is 100% made in Italy and it’s located in the city of Minerbio (Bologna) in a factory of 5.000 sqm. The products of Reglass are 100% made in Italy and are developed with evolved calculation system and design programs like CAD 3D and FEM. The finishing of the Darkside is complicated and fascinating, all surfaces are the result of the incredibile hand ability of our painting’s team who use the serigraphy technique, using just only the strictly paint to make the ‘artwork’ has a graphic that do not make heavier the buttom part of the rod. Every rod is unique because painted by hand. The baking of carbon is into autoclave (process that eliminate the eventual air bubble and these are the principal cause of break). All rods Darkside have the guides Fuji CCKWAG (new 2018).
