Policy on Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Social Performance SBM Offshore commits to: •• Protect people, prevent pollution and safeguard the environment; •• Conduct its business in a sustainable manner and actively engage with stakeholders and impacted communities; •• Implement Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) requirements designed to comply with applicable legislation and to achieve continuous performance improvement; •• Set objectives and targets, measure, review and report its HSSE and Social Performance (SP).
In conducting its business activities, SBM Offshore will ensure that: •• The organisation is geared to protect Health, Safety, Security and the Environment and that these aspects will not be compromised in order to achieve any other business objectives; •• Managers are responsible to encourage active participation and input from all personnel in HSSE and SP matters, to provide training and development and to verify compliance with requirements; •• H SSE regulations and SP obligations applicable to SBM Offshore business activities will be understood and met; •• Persons and assets associated with our business activities, as well as the natural and social environment in which we operate, are safeguarded by identifying the hazards and enacting measures to eliminate or control the associated risks and minimize the impacts; •• A ll SBM Offshore personnel strive to understand and implement the HSSE and SP requirements pertaining to their work.
