Assignment/Realisation As with most older apartments, this one had to be adapted to the needs of new users. The apartment has less than 62 m2 and its axis is crossed by a rough load-bearing wall, which cannot be interfered with. One of the possibilities of creating an open social space was the creation of an atypical corner kitchen with a wooden line, which flows smoothly into the built-in library. The rounding of the edge of the kitchen portal is intended to smooth the transition between the two spaces. The apartment has several hidden storage spaces, which also compensate for the chosen minimalism of the living room wall. The materials are usually bright to reflect the necessary light around the room. Similar to new construction, when renovating an apartment, the design can be more environmentally friendly. The first step is to preserve the existing, and thus reduce the demolition work. In this case, the overall footprint was reduced by preserving the original parquet floors, some plasters, door frames, radiators, partitions and positions of the entrances to the rooms. In addition, the masters were asked to save as many bricks as possible during the demolition, which were subsequently used in the masonry work. The equipment of the kitchen, bathroom and other rooms usually no longer met the requirements of the time and also had to be replaced. In the second step, the low built-in and operating energy of the new elements must be taken into account. These are not only the energy labels of appliances, but also their origin, transport distances, material, volume, durability and recyclability. The proposed interior makes extensive use of elements made of local wood, in order to minimize the built-in influences and provide the enjoyment of natural materials. In conclusion, it should be noted that all aspects of the project are primarily dependent on the chosen method of communication with the client. You either give time to the client or you don't.

Nosnú konštrukciu tvoria pôvodné a novo ukladané opätovne použité pálené tehly. Železobetón v prevedení venca a postele spolu so sanačnou omietkou sú jedinými materiálmi, s vyššou uhlíkovou stopou. Stavba ešte nie je dokončená.

Assignment The assignment of my Bachelor thesis was to create a multifunctional object of Gallery in the Javorníky mountains in the village Lazy pod Makytou. In Slovakia we are often faced with the fact, that the important figures that formed our history are forgotten. This is one of the reasons why the designed object is dedicated to a significant person of the region the first educated Slovak painter Želmíra Duchajová - Švehlová, a local native. Since the designed object will be situated on the land connected with the existing cycle route it will be enriched by the function of a cafeteria with a capacity of 20 people, offering the social backround. Idea The building is connected to local communication with six parking spaces including invalids. Because the plot is in contact with a cycle route, it also includes bicycle stalls. The mass and its placement in the area stems from the character of the region, the traditional architecture connected with the nearby nature reserve Čertov and from the local climatic conditions. The shape of the Gallery is traditionally associated with a touch of modern architecture, and despite the minimalist concept, the aim is to make this work a distinctive architecture.
