Recommended for concealed flush mounting to solid walls. 3” and larger are drilled and tapped for studs. Letters from 1” to under 3” are provided flat-backed for adhesive mounting, but can be drilled and tapped. Standard brass and aluminum stud lengths are 21/2” and 3”.
Projected Mount with Studs and Spacers
Aluminum spacers help to level the front surfaces of letters mounted to uneven wall surfaces and keep dirt, water and ice from accumulating behind letters.

SENDING DIGITAL FILES
ARTWORK TERMS & CONDITIONS
Customer-supplied artwork must be process-ready without requiring manual or digital touch-up. A price for artwork adjustment or clean-up will be quoted as an additional charge. Artwork will not be returned unless arranged at the time order is placed.

ARTWORK GUIDELINES
Cast Plaques
• Submit black & white only artwork in CMYK color mode
• Black represents a raised area (i.e. letters) and raised border
• White represents a recessed area
Fonts/Lettering
• All recessed areas must be at least .125” to be castable and maintain legibility
• Raised text minimum height requirement is 3/8” for capital letters and 1/4” for lower case letters
• Recessed text minimum height requirement is 3/4” for capital letters and 5/8” for lower case letters
• Recessed letters must have a minimum .125” stroke width
• All recessed areas must be at least .125” (if you do not want the areas filled in)
• Tracking or Kerning should be at 100% and no less than 80%
• Letters within a layout should not touch lines
Lines
• All thin lines must be at least 4 points
• Lines close together are acceptable when using 2 to 3 points
Etchings
• Define what images/text are raised or recessed
• Minimum letter size is 20 points for serif fonts and 12 points for sans serif fonts
• Note any art or text to be converted to Braille
• Minimum line weight is 1 point (.014”)
• Preferably art will not have overlapping objects, and all lines converted to objects
• Lettering should not have an outline
• Photos should be a minimum of 300 DPI
• Should be sent as a JPEG, PSD, or TIF
• Photos should not be part of an email or sent in Word but as a separate attachment
• Same guidelines apply to QR codes - No overlapping lines & no strokes less than .014 for etch

Artwork
• Use a vector graphics program to create and submit in .ai, .eps, .pdf or .cdr file format
• Include a PDF of the artwork
Photos
• Using Photoshop to create a .psd, .tiff or .jpg file format is strongly recommended
• All images should be 300 DPI

Freight
Prices listed do not include freight. All items are F.O.B. plant of manufacture. Ground shipping is standard within the continental United States. Contact your Customer Service Representative for alternate methods of shipment.
Sales/Use Taxes
Prices are subject to taxes assessed by the state, county, city or other taxing authority at place of delivery. We must have a sales tax exemption certificate on file for resale customers for each state to which product will be shipped.
Payment Terms
Net 30 days upon established credit. When no credit has been established, most orders will be cash in advance, or may require a deposit. Matthews also accepts VISA® or Mastercard ® payments.

Order Changes and Cancellations
All changes and cancellations on previously acknowledged orders must first be phoned in to us and then followed up in writing within 24 hours.
Please carefully review your project proof before approving to avoid timely delays. If we have followed your approved specifications and you require a change, you may incur additional costs. Customers will be advised of additional costs before changes are made.
Cancellations are subject to all labor and material charges up to the time of cancellation.
Delivery
Standard cast plaques under 864 square inches will be scheduled for approximately 15 days after customer artwork approval. For guaranteed shipment, see Quick Ship program.
For orders with multiple pieces, pattern work and special finishing, additional production time may be required. However, rush orders will be accommodated, depending upon size of order and finishing specifications. If air shipment is required, the customer will be responsible for air freight charges, provided the order ships by the agreed-upon date.
Guaranteed Quick Ship – 5-Day or 10-Day Deliveries
Orders for a 5-Day and 10-Day Quick Ship are available upon request. Please contact your customer service representative for a list of eligible products and additional information.
Matthews reserves the right to decline acceptance of an order as Quick Ship at our discretion.
Transit Claims
Upon receipt of shipment, the customer must inspect for damage or shortage. Claims for damage, concealed or otherwise, must be reported to the carrier and Matthews within 5 days from receipt of merchandise. If damaged goods are received, it is important to retain the product, cartons and packing material in the exact condition as delivered until an inspector arrives and completes a damage report.
Material Acceptance
All claims for defects, errors or shortage must be reported to Matthews within 5 days after delivery. Failure to do so shall constitute acceptance and a waiver of any defects, errors or shortages.
Returned Goods
Return of material is not allowed without prior verbal or written authorization by a Matthews Customer Service Representative.

LIFETIME WARRANTY
Matthews warrants its products to be free from defects in craftsmanship and materials for life. There is a oneyear warranty on protective coatings. Our warranty is extended only to purchasers acquiring the product directly from Matthews or its authorized dealers. Matthews’ obligation is limited to repair or replacement, at our option, F.O.B. Matthews plant. No other warranty expressed or implied is granted. Matthews is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages associated with use, removal or reinstallation.
