Geography Tour to Zimbabwe and Botswana Life is a journey – a journey that began in Africa. A South African who hasn’t travelled to at least one of their neighboring countries is a South African who hasn’t lived. One simply cannot imagine what it’s like in Zimbabwe, Zambia nor Botswana, and it’s a blessing to have the chance to experience it. Sleeping on a thin matrass in a tent two feet away from Elephant dung wasn’t easy, but it was worth waking up to a Botswana sunrise in a place very far away from cellphone reception. The Delta was one of the unforgettable experiences on the trip. There’s a beauty to the silent serenity encountered on a game walk, stalking buffalo and zebras with a dozen of your favourite people, only to later watch a sunset whilst sailing on makoras on your way home to a dinner by the campfire. However, things weren’t always so peaceful.
