INTRODUCTION Martinhal Sagres Beach Family Resort in Sagres, Algarve has all the elements for a great biking holiday – while Northern Europe goes into deep winter, the region enjoys many sunny days and the season can only be described as “Autumn going straight into Spring”. In a joint venture with Algarve-Cycling-Holidays onsite we are going to host our 15th Martinhal Bike Week as a very special road cycling event. Algarve-Cycling-Holidays is bringing a whole new concept to road cycling to the Algarve. Use the opportunity to ride with former Belgian champs Jens Debusschere and other Belgium pro cyclist, Jürgen Roelandts, both from team Lotto Soudal. This package is designed to develop and improve your riding capabilities whilst enjoying Portugal’s leading family resort. There are many things to do like complimentary kids clubs, yoga, fitness and Spa that can be used by your family while you are pushing the pedals. In addition to riding in the beautiful Algarve landscape under the November sun we will be providing evening workshops hosted by Servaas Bingé, team Doctor of Lotto Soudal. The seminars will be delivered in English finishing with a Q and A session allowing you to design your own optimal training program. It will be a cycling experience you will never forget with professional cyclists riding with YOU at your pace.
CONCEPT We have a full week program designed to give you a complete cycling and training experience including: • 5 road tours hosted by Jürgen and Jens, ranging from 60 - 120km throughout the week and Strava challenge day; • Après bike with the pro’s; • 2 workshops from Servaas Bingé, Team Doctor Lotto Soudal.

SPECIAL GUESTS Jens Debusschere The Belgian rider won the Tour of Flanders as a Junior and he got the second place in Paris-Roubaix for Juniors. These results drew the attention and Lotto Belisol was the first to offer this big talent a professional contract. He obtained his first victory as a professional in the Championship of Flanders 2013. This was his breakthrough and soon after he won a stage and the overall classification of the EuromĂŠtropole Tour and the Sluitingsprijs Putte-Kapellen. In 2014 he continued on the same path. He won the first stage in the Tour de Wallonie and he finished first in Vichte and once more in PutteKapellen. The highlight of 2014 was, of course, winning the Belgian Championship in Wielsbeke. In 2015 the 26-year-old Debusschere won his first WorldTour race, a stage in Tirreno-Adriatico. For the first time in his career, Jens rode the Tour de France. Afterwards he ended the season with some nice victories in the GP de Wallonie, Omloop van het Houtland and the first stage of the EuromĂŠtropole Tour.
Jürgen Roelandts The 30-year-old Roelandts has been part of this team for his whole career. In 2008, his first year with the professionals, he defeated all the big names in Knokke-Heist and became surprisingly Belgian champion. The years thereafter he alternated strong performances with bad luck. In 2010 he finished sixth in Gent-Wevelgem and fourth on the ChampsÉlysées. A year later he got second in the E3 Harelbeke and finished on the fifth place at the World Championships in Copenhagen. In 2012 he started the season dramatically. In the Tour Down Under he broke some cervical vertebrae and was not able to resume competition until the middle of the season. He then won a stage in the Tour de Luxembourg, finished seventh in the Olympic road race in London and won a stage and the overall classification in the Eurométropole Tour. In 2013 he rode a phenomenal Ronde van Vlaanderen which resulted in a nice third place on the podium. Two years ago he missed out on a victory. He did obtain some top results in the Tour Down Under and the Tour of Qatar. In 2015 he rode a heroic Gent-Wevelgem with a solo of almost sixty kilometres in infernal weather conditions. Also at the Belgian Championships on the road he was close to the victory but he lost the sprint against Preben Van Hecke.
WORKSHOPS Doctor Servaas Bingé Servaas Bingé is the head of the medical department of the LottoSoudal cycling team. His goal is to organise and coordinate a sciencebased support of their riders. Therefore he created a cycling thinkthank and works together with a scientific external advisory board. Dr. Bingé studied sports medicine at the University of Ghent. He also works as a GP and is a doctor at the fire department in Nevele. He’s passionate about writing and playing music in his spare time. During the bike week he will be hosting the evening workshops about sports nutrition and training programs. The seminars will be in English with a Q&A session allowing you to design your own optimal training program.
