WINTER FUNFEST

Each year Winter FunFest is held at the North Ridge Community Centre and across the street in Kinsmen Park in Martensville. This fun-filled winter event is jam-packed with activities for all ages. Winter Fest activities vary year to year. Past activities have included:
• Sleigh Rides • Hot Dog Roast • Bouncy Castles • Characters • Face Painting • Balloon Twisting • Clown and magic show • Soap Carving • Fireworks & bonfire • Ice Fishing • Kick sleds, snowshoeing, schlocky, road hockey
MARTENSVILLE FARMERS MARKET
The Martensville Farmer Market starts June 1st and runs on Wednesdays from 4pm to 8pm into September. The market is located at 301 Centennial Drive North and features a variety of vendors with a wide assortment of vegetables, fruits, caned goods, baking, crafts and more. Watch them on Facebook for update on dates and features.

CANADA DAY IN MARTENSVILLE!!
This year is Canada’s 155th birthday, and we are excited to celebrate with you! Check out the 14th annual Canada Day celebrations right here in Martensville! We are already busy planning what is sure to be a great day, which will include lots of great FREE activities for all ages to participate in. Past activities have included a Cinema Under the Stars, BBQ, live entertainment and dance parties, a scavenger hunt, and of course, fireworks!
The Martensville Canada Day Committee needs your help for this fun-filled event. There are many jobs, big and small that volunteers are needed for. Be part of the planning, preparation and the day of the event. No experience is necessary to volunteer with us and we look forward to making you part of Canada Day.

RECREATION INFORMATION
PROGRAM GUIDES
The City of Martensville Recreation & Community Services Department distributes several program guides throughout the year to inform residents about what’s happening in our community. These guides provide information on recreational activities, fitness classes, service groups and more. Guides are issued each fall, winter and spring. They are delivered right to your door and can be found online at Martensville.ca
MARTENSVILLE ATHLETIC PAVILION
Come check out the MAP, there is something for everyone!! Daily, 10 pack, 20 pack, and monthly memberships are available. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:00am-10:00pm and Saturday / Sunday 8:00am-9:00pm. You can call 306-683-5576 for more information. FITNESS AREA
The fitness area at the MAP consists of 4 treadmills, 3 ellipticals, 6 bikes (spin, upright, and recumbent), a cable cross machine, ab machine, leg curl, leg extension, pec fly, leg press, and chest press. Children under 12 are not permitted at the Fitness Area. Children aged 12-14 must be supervised by an adult when using the Fitness Area.
KIDSPORT™
KidSport TM What is it? KidSport is a children’s charity dedicated to assisting children and families facing financial obstacles with the opportunity to participate in community sport programs. The primary goal of Kidsport should be for ALL kids to play and have fun!

How Does the Program Work? Individual grants of up to $750 are available per calendar year for children or youth up to the age of 18. You can apply on-line at https://kidsportcanada.ca/ saskatchewan/warman/apply-for-a-grant/
How Can YOU Help? Support KidSport through purchasing raffle tickets, attending events, purchasing cut outs or simply making a donation. Tax receipts are provided for any donation over $25.00. 100% of donations and fundraising proceeds support children right here in Martensville.
In 2021 Martensville KidSport received over 40 applications totalling over $12,500. Each year we see an increase in the amount of applications and unfortunately, we have not been able to fully fund all applications. Please support Martensville KidSport this year so ALL kids can play!!
JUMPSTART
Help kids learn new skills, build confidence, and boost their self-esteem. Every dollar of your donation helps them get into the game. Jumpstart is a community based charitable organization that helps kids in need participate in organized recreational activities. This program will also help to fund equipment costs. LOCAL service groups
ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS (AA)
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other so that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
AA meets in Martensville every week. Please contact the Saskatoon and District AA Central Office for information.
GUIDING ASSOCIATION
Girl Greatness Starts Here: Girl Guides of Canada (GGC) stands for what it has always stood for - fun, friendship and adventure. GGC is a safe, accepting environment with diverse and exciting programs and activities that offers girls the chance to learn, grow and discover through ageappropriate programming. From sports, camping and science to eco-activities, fashion design and community projects, Guiding’s girl centred programming has something for everyone. Guiding is bold, fun, energetic and gives girls the tools and resources they need to achieve greatness. Each year runs from September until April with programs from Kindergarten age all the way to Grade 12. Guide Leaders are always needed and you can join anytime throughout the year. No experience required.

KINSMEN CLUB
Whether you are new to the area, or have lived here all your life, the Martensville & District Kinsmen are always looking for new members. If you enjoy working on community projects and raising funds to help improve the quality of life for local people within the community in a very social and fun atmosphere, then come to a meeting and see what the Kinsmen are all about! The Kinsmen Club meets twice each month, upstairs at the Martensville Sports Centre.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
The Knights of Columbus hold regular monthly meetings from September to June. Meetings are held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church meeting room. For any information contact Dave Arnold at 306-306-281-3047.
LIONS CLUB
Serving the community since 1979. Come and spend an hour with us to learn more about our programs. PRAIRIE VALLEY SCOUTS
Beavers, Cubs & Scouts - Open to boys and girls, ages 5-14. Meetings are Tuesday evenings. A weekend family camping trip is held at the end of the year in June. Come learn about respecting nature and each other, about the community, recycling, and making new friends. We play games, go on outings, make crafts, and have fun.
ROCKY RIDGE MODEL RAILROAD CLUB
The Rocky Ridge Model Railroad Club is interested in model railroading and sharing their hobby with the community and across the province. The club attends major shows all over Saskatchewan and Alberta.
