...and the original play. ●
The plot: Christopher Sly was a poor drunk man who believed to be the lord of the house. He watched the performance of the play. In the Italian city of Padua lived the sisters Bianca and Catherine. The rich student fell in love with Bianca. Hortensio Gremio also loved
Lucentio beatiful and her.
Bianca couldn't marry because her sister had to marry frst, but Kate was so rude that nobody loved her. Petruchio wanted to marry Katherine because she was rich.
Lucentio declared his love in Latin and Bianca fell in love with him. Katherine married Petruchio and he made her more friendly and obedient. Lucentio and Bianca ran away to get married. In the end Bianca and Lucentio didn't return to her father's house.Bianca and Petruchio lived happily together.
And here it goes Catapult's version as we saw it at the School's Auditorium
William Shakespeare and his wife, Ann Hattaway, were waiting for the actors but they were late.
They decided to give the roles to people in the audience. They taught them how to act.
Gremio, Hortensio and Lucentio wanted to marry Bianca.
Gremio was very rich and gave Bianca a gold chain. Hortensio was a musician and play a “beautiful song for Bianca. Lucentio was very strong and gave her a fower.
Gremio, Hortensio and Lucentio helped Petruchio to fx his bike.
Bianca wanted to be the businesswoman of the year. She taught her girls.
The public voted for Lucentio and Bianca chose him. Poor Hortensio and Gremio! They didn't marry Bianca.
Everybody danced together to celebrate the wedding.
We sat down, stood up, talked, spoke in English, listened to English songs, laughed, screamed, sang, cried,... The play was so funny! We had a great time!
