BEYOND BOUNDARIES DUBLIN HO!
When sophomore Brendan Sanchez applied to study at University
College Dublin, he hoped COVID-19 would be in the rearview mirror by fall 2020. It wasn’t. But Ireland had managed outbreaks well, so Sanchez went. With classes virtual, he had to leave his comfort zone and take responsibility for his Dublin experience. His advice to peers studying abroad, pandemic or not: “Don’t hesitate to shoot that someone a message asking if they’d like to take a walk or run to the café to grab coffee. If you’re feeling lonely, trust me, others are, too.”
