Associate Athletic Director - Development

Aaron Baker is in his eighth year at Marquette University and was promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Event Management in July of 2013. In his role, he assists with game management for all sports and serves as the direct contact for men's basketball games. Aaron is the sport administrator for the Marquette track and field and cross country programs and also oversees the event management student work force. Baker has served a lead role in several NCAA and BIG EAST Conference tournaments and championships including acting as the Assistant Tournament Manager for the 2010 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship - First & Second Rounds in Milwaukee. He also oversaw NCAA Division I women's soccer and men's hockey championships in addition to BIG EAST Championships in cross country and women's soccer and volleyball. Baker began his career at Marquette as an intern in the marketing department in July 2002 and he returned in 2004 after a year as a ticket manager and promotions coordinator at the University of California-Bakersfield. A native of Montana, Baker received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Health Science from the University of Montana in 2000 and Masters of Science in Sports Management from the UW-La Crosse in 2003. Baker and his wife Billie, have a son, Tyson and a daughter Ava. 102

Scott Kuykendall is in his seventh season at Marquette University and serves as the Associate Athletic Director for Communications. Kuykendall oversees the publicity efforts for each of the athletic department's 16 NCAA Division I programs, while serving as the primary contact for men's basketball and men's tennis teams. His work with the men's basketball team has included six trips to the NCAA Tournament (two Sweet 16's and an Elite Eight), along with the management of media attention created by the program's affiliation with the BIG EAST Conference. He also serves as the sport administrator for the men's and women's tennis teams (since 2009-10) and men's soccer program (since 2011-12) and is a member of the BIG EAST Conference Tennis Committee (served as chair in 2013 for the men's tournament). A native of New Berlin, Wis., Kuykendall spent two years (2005-07) as an assistant sports information director at the University of South Florida. While in Tampa, he worked as the men's basketball contact while also supervising the athletic department's official web site. Prior to USF, he spent six years at Western Michigan University, concluding his tenure as associate sports information director. A 1997 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a degree in broadcast technology management and a minor in journalism. He earned his master's degree in leadership studies, with a specialization in sports leadership, from Marquette University in 2013.

Joe True enters his ninth year on the Marquette athletics staff and first as Associate Athletic Director for Development. He is responsible for leading all fundraising functions for the athletic department. True began his career at Marquette as an intern for the Blue & Gold Athletic Scholarship Fund in July 2005 and has served in multiple fundraising roles during this tenure. His main responsibilities have been soliciting major gifts for the athletic department, with an emphasis on growing the Blue & Gold Athletic Scholarship Fund and the Athletic Endowed Scholarship Program. Prior to his arrival at Marquette, Joe was a graduate assistant in the athletic ticket office at Northern Illinois University and served as an operations intern with the American Junior Golf Organization. He was a four-year letter winner on the NIU golf team and was the President of the Student Athlete Advisory Council for two years. Joe received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and Masters of Science in Sports Management from Northern Illinois University.
