A survey undertaken in 2020 revealed that a staggering 79% of British adults commonly experienced work-related stress. Just 17% of respondents said they rarely experienced stress of this type, with only 1% reporting that they had never experienced work-related stress at all. 37% of individuals who took part in the survey cited ‘work-related office politics’ as the most common cause of work-related stress, with ‘lack of interdepartmental communications’ the next most frequent cause at 34%.
