One in seven regular news users say online browsing for local news is their most important local source Turning to the importance of sources of local news, we find that over half of regular local TV viewers, and just under half (47%) of online browsers, rate it as being highly important to them. Local magazines are least likely to be highly rated as personally important (25%). While TV is most likely to be nominated as the most important local news source, one in six (17%) of regular news users say online is their most important local source. Similar numbers nominate any newspapers (16%) and any radio (14%).
