Our Student Council
We have excellent opportunities for pupils to develop their understanding of how to contribute positively to the school and wider community through charitable work, leadership roles and elections for posts of responsibility within the school.
We are passionate about the personal development of pupils and try to offer as many opportunities for pupils to develop their leadership skills.

Head Pupils play an important part in supporting the senior leadership team at events and with the day-to-day activities within school, while House Captains and Vice Captains support any ‘House’ events and activities, such as sports day or other competitions.
Class Ambassadors welcome visitors and offer a pupil perspective for visitors.
Partnerships
All the fantastic opportunities and experiences we are able to provide our pupils wouldn’t be possible without the brilliant partners that we work with.
Stradbroke Helping Hands is a group of parents and grandparents who support the academy on a voluntary basis. They fundraise and support us in holding events for the academy community. They volunteer within the school and support us on school trips.
We have developed many community links including the local police, the sixth form college, other schools within our cluster, The Time and Tide Museum in Great Yarmouth, Konflux theatre and The Royal Opera House.
Pupils play a very active part in the school council providing an excellent platform for pupils’ voices. Our School Councillors are involved in interviews of staff, creating and conducting pupil surveys and other important decisions. They also offer suggestions for change from the pupil point of view.
Our Green Team are ‘Eco-Warriors’, supporting us to find ways to become more sustainable and reduce waste.
Additionally, we offer leadership opportunities for pupils through other avenues such as the PE curriculum and our Reading Champions.
