Welcome to Hymers. I am delighted that you are considering a place here.
From Pre-school right through to Sixth Form, Hymers offers the very best in education, facilities, pastoral support and co-curricular opportunities for those aged three to 18.
As one school on two sites with one collective vision, at Hymers Hessle Mount (Pre-School – Year 2) and Hymers College (Year 3 – Sixth Form) we put our children at the very centre of all we do.
On both campuses, creative and dynamic teachers support pupils on their learning journey, inspiring them to be independent thinkers who are interested and engaged in the world around them.
Hymers also offers a supportive system of pastoral care with a strong tutorial system and, from Year 3, House system. We recognise that the social and emotional development of pupils is of equal importance to their academic progress. As such, the co-curricular offering outside the classroom is second-to-none.
At Hymers Hessle Mount swimming lessons, an onsite forest school, music lessons and games lessons with a PE specialist provide the backbone of learning beyond the classroom.
Meanwhile at Hymers College, with its own swimming pool, 200-seater theatre, new topgrade astroturf pitch, music centre with recording studio, Learning Resources Centre and over 120 clubs and societies on offer throughout the school year, pupils from Year 3 to Year 13 have plenty to explore beyond their academic timetable. There is something for everyone here at Hymers.
