2020 THE YEAR OF THE
SUPER TEACHER
At Centro Cultural, the year got off to a great start with high hopes and ambitious plans to celebrate our 75th anniversary, but things quickly spiraled out of control. A sudden global interruption caused by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to reconsider everything. On March 16th, we ceased our face to face operations and teachers, students, and administrators moved into a new virtual world to face the unknown. Lucky for us a team of heroes emerged to lead us forward. They are "The ZOOM Squad".

MASTER MIND
"You're on mute!" In early 2020, a normal, regular teacher was planning their classes, when suddenly, a wild coronavirus appeared. Fighting bravely, the teacher managed to master ZOOM at the last minute unexpectedly. Now, Master Mind has to fight off the league of intenet villains and blackouts that threaten to sabotage our students' vital learning of English! In early 2020 the world was turned upside down by an unprecedented pandemic that required all teachers to give their best. They would struggle, but Prof. ZOOM would help save them all by being a source of inspiration. Super Abilities: Multitasking Omnipresene

In early 2020‌ the terrible coronavirus struck in the world, so all the superheroes were born in Zoomalandia, to battle their arch nemesis, whose goal was to throw students in a deep black hole and freeze them. Each superteacher with a magic wand and an abracazabra broke the spell which allows our students to turn on their cameras and be connected forever and everyone lived happily ever after speaking English. In early 2020...social media started blowing up with all kinds of posts, but they were filled with horrible grammar errors. Then a new hero came to save the day. Textbook man is here to rescue humans from grammar mistakes. Super Ability: Recognize bad grammar and spelling when he sees it

In early 2020, the Telecable Boogieman slowed down the internet in Costa Rica so that students couldn't learn in virtual settings during the pandemic. Tougher than Coffee Teacher rose up from the dark to make sure no student is left without their high quality classes.
