Demand for Projection The widespread appeal for projectors has gone beyond the classroom and boardrooms and into living rooms, hospitality and further. While end-users demand Full HD and 4K models, the key market driver has in fact been the introduction of projectors that are laser light sourced. This new technology allows not only enhanced image capabilities and a longer product life, but it is also more cost effective and environmentally friendly than ever before.

digitization across the education sector, are expected to drive the market even further. Many brands now provide laser options for their projections. Boasting a longer life, sharper image and higher brightness, laser projectors are a more environmentally friendly alternative to the standard lamp projector. With a rated life of five years, or 20,000 hours, these units can be installed once and then forgotten, reducing support costs and the environmental impact of mercury-based lamps. At the top end, a projector’s 30,000 lumens of light can compete with most ambient light levels. Projectors of all sizes are also becoming brighter in another sense—with smart features such as true PC-less presentation and wireless connectivity that puts them on par with flat panels.
