Kara (Sohmers) Galvan ’94 and husband Jim welcomed the birth of their second son in September 2004. Brayden James has a big brother, Grant Andrew who is 3 1/2 years old.
Jamie (Kasik) Wasowski ’96 recently graduated from St. Xavier University with a BA in Philosophy and minor in Political Science. She plans to go on for a Masters in Theology and eventually her PhD. Jamie would like to teach Ethics on the college level. Renee Moeller ’97 married Thomas Heraty on August 6, 2004. Renee received her BA In Fashion Merchandising from Western Illinois and now works at WMS Gaming in International Operations. Thomas Heraty has a BA from the University of Illinois in Civil Engineering, and he works for Walgreen’s at their corporate headquarters in Deerfield, IL.
Nick Hogeveen ’94 and wife, Sarah, welcomed the birth of a new baby, Madison Ann, born on June 3, 2004. Madison Ann Hogeveen, daughter of Nicholas Nick graduated from the Hogeveen ’94. University of Iowa with a BBA in Finance and recently built a new home in New Lenox.
Jason Latek ’97 was married on May 22, 2004 to Joy Hartwig of Woodstock, IL and they reside in Chicago. Jason was recently promoted to Senior Cost Accountant with PepsiCo.
Kate (Garrigan) Ipsen ’94 and husband Rob successfully completed the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon in Kenosha, WI on August 15, 2004! Kate sends best wishes out to all fellow classmates as she was not able to attend the reunion.
Mark Dujsik ’99 graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of WisconsinWhitewater in May with a baccalaureate degree in Fine Arts.
Joseph Wojcikiewicz ’94 and wife Chrissy welcomed the birth of their daughter, Kaci Anne, on September 3, 2004. She weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. Tiny but mighty! Kerry (Jines) Babel ’95 and husband, Jeremy, welcomed the arrival of their daughter, Evelyn Cecelia on June 30, 2004. Evi was born on February 1, 2004 in Guatemala. Kerry is leaving her career as a teacher to be a stay at home mom.

Andy DeLaurentis ’95 is engaged to marry Becky Kiran ’96 in April 2005. Andy graduated with his Master’s Degree in Education from St. Xavier University in January 2004. He is teaching English and is the sophomore football coach at MCHS.

Jennifer Kocal ’99 married Andrew Winger in September 2004. On May 1, 2004, Stephen Maltese ’99, graduated from University of Indianapolis with a BS in Corporate Communications and a minor in Business Administration. Megan (Stephenson) Vesecka ’99 married her high school sweetheart Ken Vesecka on June 11, 2004. The couple resides in Plainfield. Megan is a realtor in Frankfort and a student at University of St. Francis. Hal Weise ’99 graduated from Purdue University, West Lafayette in May, 2003 earning a BS in Building Construction Management. He is working as a project manager for United Insulated Structures Corporate in Berkely, IL.
Neil Pierce ’95 updates he is a Senior Account Manager for Urban Ministries, Inc. in Calumet City, while pursuing his Ph.D. in Business Management at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Jennifer Fugaj ’00 graduated in Spring 2004 with a BS In Nursing from St. Xavier University and recently accepted a position at Saint Margaret’s Hospital in Hammond on 2E Telemetry/Critical Care Stepdown. Jennifer is engaged to Robert Opiola and together they are planning a Spring 2005 wedding.
Having just completed production on Lovewrecked with Amanda Bynes, Robert Velo ’95, has formed Momentum Motion Pictures with former 20th Century Fox Executive Renee Dupont. Robert is beginning pre-production on the company’s first film, The Greatest College Prank, for Warner Brothers and is also producing Catherine & Roy and Trading Cards.
Michelle “Mickey” Harrison ’00 graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in March ’03 and served her apprenticeship until August ’04. Mickey received her State of Illinois license in funeral directing and embalming and in life insurance in August ’04. She is currently working as a PreArranged Funeral Specialist and Family Service Counselor as well as a funeral director and embalmer.
Nicole Catinella ’96 has been teaching 7th grade science for the past four years for the Chicago Public School System. She also received her masters in School Leadership from Concordia University River 12
