Patrick Sweeney ’85 recently completed the AH-64D (Long Bow) course and relocated to Fort Hood, TX. The Long Bow is the upgraded Apache Helicopter.
2003. Mary Ann works part-time as a registered nurse and spends most of her time as a stay at-home mom with little Josie. Brooke (Bartels) Joerms ’91 and husband Chris welcomed home their second child, Emma Elisabeth, born on April 22, 2004 who joins big sister, Kaylie. Brooke is President of the Greater Downtown Crete Business Association and in the State Farm Agency Program awaiting an agency to open.
Colleen (Hurley) Bueche ’86 and husband Phil celebrated the birth of their daughter, Caroline Marie, on August 5, 2004. She was welcomed home by big brother Philip. Carl Loesch ’86 has been named Principal of Marian High School in Mishawaka, IN. Carl had been serving as Director of the Appalachia Seminar and Educational Immersion at Notre Dame for the past three years.
Kathryn Gleason ’92 took a new position as Assistant Softball Coach at Michigan State University. Peggy (Paredes) Ricks ’92 and husband Mark welcomed their first child, Gene Douglas, on June 16, 2004. He weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz. and was 21 1/2 in. long.
Laurie Pietruszka Heggie ’87 Josephine Camaya Dichoso, daughter of married Michael Heggie in Mary Ann (Cruz) Dichoso ’91. Normal, IL on September 4, 2004. The couple resides in Normal where Laurie is a realtor. Michalene Stoming Kell ’87 is busy, along with husband Scott, raising son Keegan 3 and daughter Maggie 1. The family resides in Chicago. Tina DeLuca ’88 married Michael J. Caruso at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Naperville, IL on Saturday, June 19, 2004. Following the ceremony was a reception at Maggiano’s in Oak Brook and a honeymoon in California. The happy couple are residing in Palos Heights.
Anne (Loesch) Gordon ’93 and husband Doug were blessed with the birth of their second child, Jack, in March.
Tim O’Hea ’88 and wife Dawn were blessed with a son, Sean Henry. Sean was born on July 30, 2004 at 8:14 am. He weighed 6 lbs. 10 oz. and was 19 1/2 in. long. Big sisters, Emma and Ava, can’t wait to play with him.

Joanna Melone Parker Robert and Cora Barbara Olsen, children of Hughes ’93 updates Catharine (Hughes) Olsen ’93. from Frankfort, IL, where she resides with husband Kevin. They were married September 6, 2003. Joanna is in pharmaceutical sales.
Mary (Oman) Spilman ’88 and husband William welcomed the birth of their son, Wesley William Spilman, born on January 13, 2004. He joins big sisters, Ashley 8, Kiera 6 and big brother Joshua 3.
Carrie (Greenwalt) Malloy ’93 and husband Jim were blessed with twin daughters on January 19, 2004. Erin Christine weighed 5 lbs. 2 oz. and Emily Elizabeth weighed 5 lbs. 8 oz. Catharine (Hughes) Olsen ’93 gave birth to her second child, Parker Robert, on February 5, 2004. Daughter Cora Barbara is now 3 years old. Catharine has the greatest job in the world...raising her two children! Catharine and her husband, Marcus, have been happily married now for 4 1/4 years.
Mike Hernon ’89 and wife Amy proudly announce the birth of their first child, Brendan Michael, born June 7, 2004. He was 7 lbs. 14 oz. and 21 1/2 in. long.
Frank & Jennifer (Kavanaugh) Wajda ’93 ’93 welcomed the birth of their son, John Francis, on January 20, 2004.
Kerry (Lyons) Duffie ’90 and husband Chris welcomed their first child Elizabeth Grace on June 10, 2004. The Duffie Family lives in Chicago.
Jennifer Broadhurst ’94 married Jim DeCiaco on August 27, 2004. A reception was held at Silver Lake Country Club. Jennifer is an emergency room nurse at Ingalls Hospital and Jim is Chief Financial Officer of a technology company.
