Our Mission
American Friends of the Bambi Homes Colombia is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to help underprivileged children in Colombia through our homes and our programs. Our homes are located in BogotĂĄ, Cali, DariĂŠn, and Medellin, supporting 1,100 children annually.
Our Mission
In our Colombian Homes we provide support and care for children in extreme vulnerability (abandoned, victims of forced displacement, abused or mistreated children) in order to restore their physical and psychological well-being. At each of our homes, every child receives professional attention from an interdisciplinary group of psychologists, social workers, nutritionists, doctors and caregivers.
Our Model “Bambi Homes is the most distinguished model of early childhood intervention in Colombia. The model promotes early childhood development not only through care and protection but also through education, stimulation, nutrition, physical health and actively involving the community and the families. Diego Molano, former director of ICBF
Bambi Homes unique model articulates and aligns the work of national and local governments, private sector, international cooperation, and local community around early childhood development. “It Takes a Village to raise a child” African Proverb

Testimonials
“I came to Bambi Homes as a teen mother looking for support for my children, but thanks to God there was PROMEFA. Through the program, I not only learned new skills but also I showed my children an example of how to overcome difficulties. Thanks to everybody for believing in us, we all came without hope and here we find hope and we learn to value ourselves Program Mom
