DEFINING CHARACTERISTICS Classifying each family by a style of shape creates a base guideline and defines each monitor’s audience, but still allows for unlimited flexibility. Whether they appear overtly or in disguise, shapes are all around us and fit seamlessly into both CGI and lifestyle environments. Their sharp lines or curves create different moods and feelings, they can bend, appear in any color or in any texture. We’ll end our videos with a lockup that gives meaning to the family name and ties to the shape’s representation. These will serve as end cards for our videos.

CREATIVE. FLUID. CONTINUOUS. As the monitor for color professionals, round forms and curves give the feeling of creative freedom and flow. It’s reminiscent of pixels travelling across the frame or drops of paint on a canvas.
POWER. MOMENTUM. STABILITY. An UltraSharp user is at the pinnacle of their career, and angular lines communicate upward momentum, innovation and success. Sharp, clean edges also reinforce the family name.

BALANCED. PRACTICAL. PERVASIVE. Straight lines and rectangular shapes resemble the bar graphs and data of someone producing results, something a P Series user knows well. By bending the lines, we can show a curved monitor or highlight connectivity.
SYNERGETIC. SEAMLESS. STRUCTURAL. Geometric shapes grouped together are reminiscent of a beehive, a collective effort that creates something greater than its parts. They can fit in perfect symmetry, another nod to people working in sync.

UNIFORM. BASIC. ORDERLY. Equal-sided, minimal shapes reflect the repetition and daily tasks of an E series user. Every side is necessary and serves a purpose, which also lends itself to the family’s essential features.

T H E F E E L I N G O F N AT U R A L L I G H T To prevent our CGI environments from looking flat or one-dimensional, we’ll use natural light to give the feeling of a window in the space. It creates shadows, shows the passage of time, and adds authenticity. We’ll incorporate long shadows in our product photography to make each monitor feel premium and heroic. Backgrounds should be clean, simple, and use ample amounts of white space. This lets the product shine and gives us the freedom to incorporate our classification system either in the screenfill or background itself.
