The changes include an opening window in the master stateroom and a new layout for their bathroom, and lovely windows in the transom door to allow natural light into the beach club.“We are pleased that Heesen was able to meet yet another important milestone in the construction of this 55m. The experience of the shipyard in the construction of its Series yachts is an awesome guarantee for our clients. Time is priceless for our customers,” says Richard Kaye of Arcon Yachts. “Consequently, for us as the broker, it is invaluable that the shipyard can stick to the schedule. It

En route

In October of this year, MY Reliance le the out tting shed at the shipyard in Oss and went en route to the North Sea for sea trials. She forms part of Heesen’s popular 55 Steel series, of which there are a total of ve delivered yachts. Her sisterships include 55m Vida and 55m Laurentia.

The Italian designer and his team worked closely with the owners and Arcon’s project manager to adapt the interior to create a re ned ambience with warm tones and an elegant theme. Introducing the owner at an early stage in the build allowed the yard to make a number of key changes and modi cations to suit the tastes of the owner. Notably, the

yacht features an opening window in the owner’s suite and a fresh layout in the en suite. Reliance also features windows in the transom door which allows natural light to pour into the beach club.

Power will come from twin MTU 8V 4000 M63 IMO-Tier III diesel engines for a top speed of 15.5 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,500nm at 13kn.

The news in October followed the recent announcement of the sale of her sistership Project Serena, which was also closed by Arcon Yachts. She is one of three 55 Steel models currently in build at the Dutch shipyard.
