Damen Shipyards Group Damen Shipyards Group operates more than 55 shipyards, repair yards and related companies worldwide. Damen employs 8,000 people, has delivered over 5,500 vessels since 1969 and delivers some 150 vessels annually to worldwide customers. Standardisation Damen’s focus on standardisation, modular construction and building on stock leads to short delivery times, low total cost of ownership, high resale value, proven technology and reliable performance. Productranges include tugs, workboats, patrol vessels, high speed craft, dredgers, offshore support vessels, frigates and super yachts.
Conversion projects range from updating smaller or older vessels to today’s requirements to the complete conversion or rebuilding of large jack-up rigs. A recent project consisted of converting a jack-up drill rig into offshore hotel accommodation.

Damen Offshore Series Damen believes its global presence, shipbuilding philosophy and continuing family-run ethos, can make the difference. With (partner) yards in Europe, Asia, Africa, (South) America and the Middle East, Damen operates close to the offshore markets. With continuous investments in long-term R&D programs, new technologies emerge and are incorporated into Damen vessel and series designs. The Damen Offshore Series consists of both proven and newly designed vessels. Examples are PSVs, Fast Crew Suppliers (incl. Sea Axe bows reducing slamming up to 70%); 75-200 t BP Anchor Handling Tug Suppliers, an Offshore Heavy Lift Vessel, the Ro-Ro Deep Dredge (a deepwater modular dredging system), Safety Standby Vessels, the new Damen Offshore Carrier 7500 (with 2,300m2 deck space), a Well Stimulation Vessel and a new Oil Spill Response Vessel.
Services Damen offers a broad range of Services, such as Lifecycle Maintenance Services, Customer Finance, Training and transfer of (shipbuilding) knowledge, incl. building-on-site and civil works, such as quaysides, slipways, drydocks and complete shipyards at remote locations. Damen Shiprepair & Conversion Damen offers a network of 16 ship repair & conversion yards worldwide, 40 dry docks of all types and sizes (up until 420 * 80 m) and onsite/onboard repair services. Most yards are conveniently located along the North Sea coast from France to Sweden. In a recent contract Damen carried out repairs and the lifetime extension of an FPSO, including the complete overhaul of the turret.
