Our portfolio includes: – Wire Rope Mounts (WRM) – Rubber Shock and Vibration Reduction Mounts – Acoustic Tube Mount (ATM) We offer a full service program in support of our portfolio, meaning that we provide shock and vibration testing and calculation of shock resistance to determine the appropriate solution. All of our products reflect the highest quality standards and are produced in ISO certified production facilities. Vibration isolation Vibrations occur naturally during transportation of a (packed) product, as a result of the environment (equipment on board of planes, ships, trains but also wind etc.), or because of the equipment itself (e.g. engines). Vibrations can create damage to adjacent machinery, increase wear and tear or disrupt measuring equipment. Moreover, it can create an unacceptable noise and vibration level for the environment. Antivibration technology, usually through the use of mounts, aims to prevent vibrations from being passed on to the surrounding environment (passive isolation). Or it is used to shield sensitive equipment from vibrations from its environment (active isolation). In order to minimize vibrations one needs to assess the level of vibration and match the requirements with the appropriate mount system, taking all relevant factors into account. Shock isolation Shocks aren’t inherently different from vibrations, except that a shock is mostly a one-time occurrence. The cause is usually similar for shocks and vibrations, as several successive shocks could be considered a vibration. However, a shock is characterized by a temporary change in position, speed and acceleration. Whenever the mechanical tolerance levels of the product are significantly exceeded, it is recommended to apply mounts to shield the product from external shocks. Mounts allow for temporary energy absorption of the released shock energy. This energy is then temporarily transferred into kinetic energy.
