Presentation
A high point, filled with centuries. Surrounded by nature. Within a country, a village is glimpsed in the horizon of a look, at six hundred and fifty meters above sea level and embraced by Távora and Medreiros rivers. Consisting of thirteen civil parishes, Sernancelhe, represents, since 1124, a landmark of history and tradition. Located in a mountainous region, this chief civil parish, offers us incredible landscapes and a rural and medieval arquitecture that, to date, is preserved by the men who make it and those who live within it.
Aquilino Ribeiro, one of the great Portuguese writers of the twentieth century, born here, describes in his romance, “Terras do Demo”, the full magnitude of this village in the northern region: “(…)On the side of Demo´s land, this land is sometimes an air of paradise, next to the Távora river with its calm waters, vegetable gardens, fruit ranches, vineyards which resemble almost the gardens of convents that were once there. On the mountain grows heather, the broom, the pine, lavender and rosemary to food the bees, branches of Branche’s Sunday and bonfires of St. John. On the slopes there are centuries-old chestnut trees that thrive at the end of June, give glorious shade in August and in October fill shallow nuts which are the best nuts in the world. The peasants make Magustos with them in November and with new wine. After, they become food as before. And they hard currency in an economy that still depends on this Mother-Earth, the arms of their children, nature’s fortune (...) “.

The company. Project designed and implemented by three young professionals, TĂĄvora - Veterinary Clinic & Pet Shop, reflects the passion and professional delivery by health and animal welfare. Situated in Sernancelhe, this clinic provides, to this rural village and surroundings, a quality service and care using modern and effective means to help livestock producers and the pet owners. In addition, this Veterinary Clinic, also has a pet shop that sells quality products more suitable for pets.
Briefing. Simplicity. Key concept that served as a starting point for the realization of the project. From early stages, it was evident that the concerns were based on a simple and clean way, not only for being a work designed for a clinic in a rural village, but also for being important to provide immediate understanding of the brand by the people (shepherds, livestock producers, families) and migrants.
A Gold. Simple and clear. Concepts that reflect the wishes of the client, taking into account the location of the clinic and the target audience.
In short, the brand, led by young people, should include a message of stability and growth, where the shape and the color (green) function as a mirror of customer’s simplicity as well as the delivery and sensitivity of the professionals / services.

The upland that characterizes Sernancelhe’s Village and the set of keywords, which includes stability and growth, determined the need to design something rational and of precise dimensions. The use of a triangle highlights that need which supports the brand’s architecture graphics. Also, the fact of being three young persons, reinforced
the existing triangle between them. The choice of the graphics was based on what animals – a dog - pose to the owners: loyalty, character and proximity. The strength, the spirit of the three youths, the tradition / modern, the simplicity, the lightness, the briefing and all the graphic work contributed to the design’s
style.
