Explore your creative instincts with the help of the Brisbane Institute of Art (BIA). Offering a wide variety of classes for students of all ages and experience levels, the educational facility is adept at encouraging inspiration and imagination in all its forms. Established more than 35 years ago, BIA prides itself on providing an inviting environment that allows students to interact with other artistic types. When asked about their experience in a recent survey, students spoke highly of the welcoming sense of community. Tucked away in suburban Windsor, the art school sees more than 2000 students pass through its doors each year. Classes
range vastly in choice, including painting, printmaking, ceramics, watercolour, sculpture, digital photography and jewellery making, and are taught by experienced tutors who are themselves practising artists. This helps to contribute to the practicality of what is taught in classrooms. Conveniently, lessons range from weekend workshops to 18-week courses, and are held during the day, evening and on weekends.
