ADULT TENNIS ($60.00/SESSION)
AT MAPLEWOOD HEIGHTS BEGINNERS (AGES 18+) MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS, MAY 7 - MAY 23, 6:00PM - 7:00PM This class is for those who have had little or no tennis experience. You’ll learn all the basic strokes and rules of tennis. Each session will end with group games emphasizing fun while improving strokes. Participants must bring their own racket. Cost is $60.00. ADVANCED BEGINNERS (AGES 18+) MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS, MAY 7 - MAY 23, 7:00PM - 8:00PM This class is for those who want to take their play to a higher level. You’ll improve stroke technique, footwork, and serves. Students must bring their own racket and be able to maintain a short rally. Cost is $60.00.

T’AI CHI CH’AUN (Ages 16+)
AT DRAGONS KUNG FU STUDIO, 2572 7th Ave E., North St. Paul WEDNESDAYS, 7:30PM - 8:30PM SESSION 1: MAY 23 - AUGUST 1 (NO CLASS JULY 4) SESSION 2: AUGUST 8 - OCTOBER 10 T’ai Chi Ch’uan, practiced in China for 2500 years, uses slow relaxed movements to develop strength while eliminating tension. While doing so you will strengthen your arms and legs, improve balance and flexibility, reduce stress, and help increase energy levels. A growing body of research also suggests that practicing T’ai Chi Ch’uan has many benefits, resulting in relaxation, improved balance, and a significant improvement in quality of life! Come experience the benefits for yourself! Class is taught with a traditional set of training ideals by Gold T’ai Chi Ch’uan group Head Instructor, Elaine Schrade. Cost is $75.00.
BEAN BAG TOSS LEAGUE (Ages 18+)
AT FOUR SEASONS PARK-HOCKEY RINK AREA 1685 GERVAIS TUESDAYS, 6:30PM - 8:30PM SUMMER SESSION: JULY 31 - SEPTEMBER 18 REGISTER BY JULY 23 The City of Maplewood offers a fun “Bags” league. Grab a partner and join other teams in throwing some bags in our fun bags league. Games are played outdoors at Four Seasons Park. Teams consist of 2 players and each week teams will play a match consisting of 3 games. League champions will receive champion t-shirts. League rules available online. Cost is $60.00/team/season.
FALL VOLLEYBALL LEAGUES (Ages 18+)
AT EDGERTON COMMUNITY GYM & MAPLEWOOD COMMUNITY CENTER WOMEN’S: WEDNESDAY EVENINGS CO-REC: FRIDAY EVENINGS Maplewood Parks & Recreation women’s and co-rec fall volleyball leagues are offered at various levels of competition. Teams will play one match per week for ten weeks starting in late September 2018. All leagues are officiated and play by the same rules; the difference in leagues being in the skill of the players. LEAGUE FEES: $315.00 - Teams with two or less non-residents $335.00 - Teams with three or more non-residents REGISTRATION DATES: August 6 - Returning Teams (two or less non-residents) August 8 - Returning Teams (three or more non-residents) August 15 - First day for new teams to register REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS AUGUST 29 (or when leagues fill)
