Great Dining & Entertainment Dining at Leisureplex Hotels Good food is at the heart of a Leisureplex break. Well appointed dining rooms are the perfect backdrop for pleasurable mealtimes. For a more relaxed dining experience, all guests are allocated individual times and all meals are waiter service, leaving you to sit back and leisurely choose your next course from our extensive set menus. We serve a traditional British breakfast each morning to set you up for the day. Light snacks and bar meals are available at lunch times (packed lunches are also available on request). Accessibility and clients with special requirements Our buildings are full of character and it has not always been possible to eliminate every potential obstacle for mobility impaired clients. No smoking policy Smoking is no longer permitted anywhere inside any of our hotels (including all hotel bedrooms) and smokers are only able to smoke outside the buildings.

Child reductions Although most of our clients are aged over 40, we offer substantial reductions for children at all hotels (please see page 40). Town Centre

Weston-super-Mare is situated in a sheltered bay at the foot of the Mendip Hills with views across the Bristol Channel to South Wales. There are many Victorian and Edwardian terraces interspersed with colourful parks and gardens. Attractions include a Sea Life centre, dancing at the famous Winter Gardens and top class cabaret and big star names performing at the Playhouse theatre. Weston is close to the historic cities of Bath and Bristol and the resort’s position, nestling between the Mendip Hills and the Bristol Channel, means there is some lovely scenery and many opportunities for rambling and water sports.

The town centre has a pedestrianised High Street and indoor Sovereign Shopping Centre. Intriguing antiques, books and craftworks are amongst Weston’s narrow side streets. Bristol city centre is just half an hour away.

Newquay is Cornwall’s premier holiday resort boasting some of the finest coastline in Europe with no less than eleven beaches! The town is an ancient one - the ‘new quay’ from which it takes its name dates back to the fifteenth century, when it was known as ‘Towan Blystra’. As well as being Britain’s surfing capital, it offers wonderful cliff and beach walks, a picturesque harbour and a variety of activities including golf, squash, tennis, putting, bowls, surfing and even shark fishing! There are also hidden coves and atmospheric smugglers’ pubs which are a living reminder of the more colourful side of Cornwall’s history.

Newquay has a good selection of both high street and local stores. Bank Street, Newquay’s main high street, is mostly pedestrianised, with interesting alleyways housing little craft and antique shops. There is also a great variety of tea shops and cafés for a refreshing break.

Town Centre

Falmouth boasts one of the highest average sunshine records in Britain and in winter has a climate comparable to that of the Mediterranean. Located at the southern end of the Fal estuary, it has beautifully laid out exotic gardens, a large vibrant harbour and a Tudor castle overlooking the bay. Other attractions include a growing arts centre and the state-of-the-art National Maritime Museum, which documents Falmouth’s historic Cornish past and plays host to the town’s cultural events. Further up the Fal estuary, the riverside is interspersed with tiny villages and hamlets, creeks and coves which may be seen by taking a cruise on the River Fal.

Falmouth is well-known for its fascinating mixture of buildings and shops which vary from modern stores to much older listed buildings, often occupied by antique and craft shops, which lie in picturesque alleyways leading down to the harbour.

Town Centre

Exmouth developed as a resort in Georgian times and was once probably the most select resort in Britain. Today it offers golden sands, colourful gardens and a bustling harbour side. Its two mile long promenade provides a range of activities from boating, amusements and crazy golf to dancing and entertainment at the Exmouth Pavilion. There are boat trips along the estuary and riverside pubs, as well as a miniature railway and Country Life centre. The coast from Exmouth to Dorset has been officially ranked alongside the Grand Canyon and Great Barrier Reef as one of the natural wonders of the world.

Exmouth has good shopping with an indoor market and a pedestrianised high street, as well as Georgian pubs and high quality restaurants serving a variety of local and international dishes. The newly developed yacht harbour and railway station are both within a few minutes’ walk of the Cavendish Hotel.

At its centre, Fort William Cameron Square is the focus of entertainment and is the venue for many live concerts. The Nevis Centre hosts shows and also has a ten pin bowling alley.
