THE ULTIMATE SUMMER LOOK

With the days getting warmer, it’s time to switch up your makeup routine. Think dewy sun-kissed skin, bright eyes and a slightly better version of your own lips. Kate Morrison shares her favourite products for the ultimate summer look.

Spf

My favourite brand for SPF is the Heliocare range. They offer a product for every skin type and concern, harnessing the power of plants to protect the skin and prevent the signs of ageing. Also available in tints and foundations.

For the all-year foundation wearer, I love Mac’s Prep + Prime Face protect SPF50; the silky, non-oily formula melts into the skin and has the added benefit of preventing the appearance of dark circles. The formula also creates a soft-focus finish when worn under foundation.

Dewy Skin

The ultimate for dewy skin is MAC Face + Body foundation. This iconic lightweight liquid is a staple of makeup artists around the world. The hydrating formula glides on skin, can be used as an instant self-tan all over and is waterproof and transfer-resistant when dry. Top tip: Squeeze some into your fingertips and rub hands vigorously together until the formula thickens to increase coverage and apply with fingers where needed.

For those with oily skin, fear not, set with a dusting of Hourglass Veil Translucent setting powder. The formula leaves an invisible natural skin finish while minimising the appearance of pores and lines. Top tip: bake that under eye for extra-long wear.

Bold Eyes
