Editor's letter
from Manner | Issue 15
As I write this letter, Beatrice and Freddie are playing together in the garden, something that does not happen often (cue a gentle shove from Beatrice!). The sun is strong, the birds are chirping away, and I finally feel relaxed - it would appear as though the summer has finally arrived. Enough about us, moving on to the latest issue…
What's new? With many shops trying to stay ahead and offer something different, we have featured the latest brands to hit the boutiques (page 11). Trends this season include seaside style - think gingham and stripes in blues and greens, a fresh take on monochrome, and as always with summer, a range of neutral tones and materials, from page 15. You'll find everything you need for the beach, including swimwear, kaftans, sundresses, and accessories, on page 25.

We have featured Luella Rockerfella's latest photoshoot, inspired by L King's Baby Outlaw. Lauren Burnett says that the fierce women of the Southern states of America embody the strength and character of Luella Rockerfella's customers, her girl gangsters, as she calls them (page 22). In our 'Throwing Shade' editorial, Toni Neil showcases the latest offerings in statements sunglasses (from page 28). Mark Stephenson photographs Gosia at La Haule Manor for our 'Summer Escape' editorial. Gosia looks stunning in bold prints and easy to wear summer dresses, layered with gold statement jewellery (from page 34).
Not forgetting the little ones, we've put together a style guide for all outings, including the beach, park and partywear pieces (page 46). I spoke to Martina, founder of Mamaroo – a new clothing company focusing on gender-neutral pieces – about her new venture. She offers adorable sets, shoes, and accessories in neutral colours, perfect for those who aren't fond of the cliché dinosaur and fairy prints (page 48). Finishing our kids' feature, Mark Stephenson photographs Julian, Kelly, Issac and Siena Gray at Hamptonne Country Life Museum. The family had lots of fun feeding the chickens, playing in the park, and walking around the stunning grounds (from page 50).
Our beauty section includes plenty of new products. Whether you're looking to rejig your current routine or are after something a little more specific – SPF and hair protection, for example, we have you covered. Kate Morrison shares her favourite products for the ultimate summer look - dewy skin, bold eyes, and neutral lips.

Moving on to wellness, Harriet Rouse talks about women's health. Endometriosis, menopause, and miscarriage are slowly gaining the media attention the subjects deserve, but more needs to be done. We need to speak up about our own struggles to help and support others going through similar situations (page 63).
Throwing a dinner party this summer? We've featured a selection of tableware pieces that will leave your guests talking. Christian Gott shares his favourite canapés, including classic bruschetta and devilled eggs.
This issue also includes articles on aromatherapy, honesty huts in Jersey and home and garden trends.
As I always, I hope you enjoy reading this issue as much as I have enjoyed putting it together.
