CHA Report - Albert Rimke
For once the weather has been favorable, this winter. Feeding cows has been better than the last number of years, (knock on wood). Hope everyone’s feed supply will last a bit longer.
Not much has changed since my last report in the Digest. Stephen and I both attended the National Western Stock Show in Denver; there were a few Canadian breeders and exhibitors in attendance. The sales in Denver were great but down from previous years, basically because of the economy south of the border.

There are several couples from Canada going down to New Zealand for the World Hereford Conference at the end of February. We will be having the board meeting after the WHC, there may be items to discuss from the conference.
Hope everyone has a great calving season with many champions being born. Good luck to all with bull sales and best of luck with your purchases.
Just a reminder that Bonanza and the CHA AGM will be in Manitoba this year, and if you have time to help it would be greatly appreciated, whether it be physically or monetary. Hope to see you there!
