MHA President’s Report - Steven Manns

Happy New Year, everyone! So far winter has been taking it pretty easy on us. What a pleasure to have enjoyed some time without bone chilling temperatures. Another busy fall found us at Ag Ex in Brandon and at a well attended Good as Gold Sale. The quality of cows was second to none.

I would like to take the time to thank everyone who came to the annual meeting. I would like to thank Vivian Jones and Wendell Martens for their time on the board.

The up coming year looks active as well. Calving season is about to begin if it hasn’t already for you. Bull sale season is on the mind of many as well. I hope breeders will begin entertaining the idea of joining the Manitoba Hereford Association in Lundar for the summer show. Keep June 13th open - I hope to see you there!

The most exciting part of the summer is that Bonanza 2020 is in Brandon this year! This is a huge event for our juniors and we look forward to many participants because of our place in central Canada! The organizing committee would welcome your assistance. If you could spare some time to lend a hand at this large scale event, please contact a board member. See you down the road!
