MBP working to protect species at risk As another example of the Manitoba’s beef industry’s commitment to environmental stewardship, Manitoba Beef Producers (MBP) is pleased to announce a project to promote habitat enhancement for species at risk in southwestern Manitoba. With $750,000 in funding from Environment and Climate Change Canada’s Species at Risk Partnerships on Agricultural Lands (SARPAL) initiative, MBP is delivering voluntary, incentive-based habitat enhancement actions with beef producers in areas of southwestern Manitoba to protect important habitats.
