The Master-hand at Cooking has Come!

The first workshop with a master hand at cooking began in 2021.

Mr. Nam Dae-hyun is a chef de cuisine at Signiel Seoul of Lotte Hotel at Lotte World Tower. He has served at Hotel Lotte for 30 years. He was appointed as the 14th master hand at cooking by the Presidential Decree of Korea. He managed many national events such as the G20 Summit, the opening and closing ceremonies of the Pyeongchang Olympics, a state guest dinner, etc.

Of Songgokians, the second and third graders of the Culinary Science Department participated in the first regular class/workshop with Chef Nam. They experienced high-class food, which Pierre Gagnaire had sold. Pierre Gagnaire was Michelin’s first star restaurant at Signiel Seoul of Lotte. Chef Nam demonstrated cooking to students, and they applied his skills for ‘a workshop exhibition with Master hand.’ Chef Nam’s cooking skills were beneficial for students who had plans for their future with hotels and cooking fields. The workshop gave Songgokians new hope and courage.
