2021 Sweet Macaron Awards

Songgokians of the Culinary Science Department won the gold and silver prizes at the ‘2021 Sweet Macaron Awards’ at COEX in June last year. All three teams participated in the contest to activate the bakery industry by promoting local Korean agricultural products and improving the quality of macaron, one of the confectionery products.


Songgokians did their best to get the gold prize for ‘Ggaecaron,’ meaning ‘macaron with sweet sesame pork’ after many failures for the contest. And other teams won the silver awards with ‘Sweet pumpkin macaron’ and ‘Gotgam macaron’ (meaning, macaron with dried persimmons).
It was a special awards contest at which they showed the possibility to become good cooks with actual ability.
