I went in to the kitchen and was introduced to Karl and Anthony the other guys who lived there. Gary left us and I invited them to ask me any questions they had and anything they wanted to know about me I would tell them. We had a conversation for half an hour or so, and then I went in the living room and talked to a volunteer there while they made their decision. Gary invited me into his office and informed me that the guys liked me, and he was offering me a chance to move in the next Tuesday. I was ecstatic and accepted immediately. I thanked him and the guys and left. Before I got to the bus stop, which was two minutes away, I burst into tears of joy and relief. I now had the weekend to pack my things before I made my move to my new home in Northenden. Tough Times My time there was so tough The start I had was rough But I overcame the lows And all the to’s and fro’s. So many awful sleepless nights A lot of wrongs and many rights I’m only human after all Get up after my every fall. Found kindness in people I met No I don’t deserve the pain I get But I must fight for my sanity And be the man I want to be. Got to take the love and support That others have shown and brought Give myself a fighting chance To grow and in life advance. Many lessons have I learned I have bled and been burnt They leave scars but they will heal Then after happiness I will feel.
