Dear Parent, Summer brings with it the glorious sun, soothing downpour, and HOLIDAYS! The school is closed for Summer vacation from 22nd May to 2nd of July 2017 for classes upto VIII . Classes IX to XII will continue upto 30th of May and the result will be given on 31st of May for their test series. Grade XII will report back on 27th of June and students upto XI will report back on 3rd of July 2017 as per summer timings.

Summer vacation is a wonderful time to be with the children as mentors, buddies and as navigators. It is the time when special bond is developed between you and your child as you work, travel and enjoy together. Let the children involve in household chores and know their family and extended family better. I heartily wish the students a happy and fun-filled break.

At the same time children also need to stay connected with their school learning as well., A meaningful and an interesting homework has been planned which I’m sure would engage children meaningfully.

I would also like to apprise you about the activities that would be organized for the young MRITES in the summer break.  EDUCATIONAL TRIPS : Educational trips are a welcome break in the routine of students as these excursions infuse many life skills in them, thus making them self-dependent and flexible in their approach towards life. Keeping the interest of the students in mind , the following educational trips have been planned for Grades VI to X and XII:  Adventure Camp to Manali (VI to X) : To inculcate leadership qualities and discipline among the young learners, a six day adventure trip to Manali has been planned .A group of about 100 students will be leaving on 31st May,2017 with ten teachers.  Adventure cum pleasure trip to Kanatal (Grade XII): Another exciting expedition has been planned for the students of grade XII from 6th to 10th June,17. It’s a five day and four night trip to Kanatal .  International trip - An 11 day educational journey to USA: East Coast Space Adventure.’ The journey will take students to Orlando (NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Universal’s Island of Adventure), Niagara, Washington, DC and New York City. 18 students with two teachers will leave for the same on 31st May,2017.  ENRICHMENT AND REMEDIAL CLASSES: We have planned Aryabhatta classes for grade VIII from 22nd to 31stMay,2017, to prepare them well for the forthcoming competitive Aryabhatta Examination.

Remedial classes have also been planned for grade VI to X .These classes are arranged for the students who were involved in the school activities and missed their classes .In case your child has missed any class s/he may attend the same from 22nd May to 31st May,2017. The timings for these classes will be 8 am to 11am.

Please note that the buses will ply from till 31st May, 2017 and the students attending these classes may avail the bus facility in the morning. Kindly pick your child from the school campus at 11 am.

Please note that Career guidance Workshop will be organized for the parents of IX to XII on 31st of May from 9.00 am to 10.30 am, after which result can be collected.  ERP PORTAL: Kindly use the school ERP portal on a regular basis as all the circulars and important information will be shared on the same. SCHOOL NEWS:

 DRAMA WORKSHOP “LET’S GET THEATRICAL”: A workshop on Drama was organized on 25th April,2017 for the students of Grades VI to XI wherein ,the nuances of drama were taught to the young scholars through interesting activities. They learnt the significance of the right gait, posture, body language, expressions, gestures, eye movement, voice throw, modulation and tone in Drama, as these help them enhance their personalities as individuals.  CAREER COUNSELLING WORKSHOP: A career counselling session was organized on May 4,2017 to help the students know about various career options and choose the right one. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Parikshit and Mr. Prateek for Grades X- XII.  VATSALYA 2017 : The staff and the mothers of the children (Early Years & Grade – I) were invited to the school on May 13, to celebrate Mother’s Day – Vatsalya 2017. The highlight of the event was a beautiful dance presentation by the mothers of Early Years and Grade - I.  DIGITAL PLANETARIUM : Students of Grade – I to III had a wonderful experience of learning about the solar system at an indoor planetarium setup in the school multipurpose hall.  INFRASTRUCTURE ADDED: Fourth Floor: We are glad to inform you that the school’s fourth floor has become functional with well-lit and spacious décor. It comprises of 16 airy rooms  Multipurpose Halls: We are also coming up with three big Multipurpose Halls to facilitate the young scholars to attend assemblies, talks by mentors and experts and hold group discussions.

 A Splash Pool: A beautiful splash pool for the tiny tots will also be functional soon.  Library for the Senior Citizens: Under Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation, the school will start, a Library for the senior citizens of Charmwood, very soon in the school, to facilitate them. They can avail the facility in the evening.  We are getting our school ground ready for Football and have tied up with Arsenal Football Academy for professional coaching.

INTRA SCHOOL MUN (MODEL UNITED NATIONS): We are glad to inform you that the school organized its first intra school MUN , Conglomerate on 13th May,17 and 14th May,17, with a great aplomb. It was a two day conference. The conference

worked on the format of United Nations. There were four committees- UNSC, UNGA, UNHRC and AIPPM. The students from grades VI to XII participated as delegates in the conference. They exuded confidence and exemplary oratory skills. The ability for strong research helped them to perform well. The conference was an initiative made by the senior students. The organizing committee comprising of 17 students managed the entire conference. The students won the awards in the category of Best delegates, High commendations and Special mentions.

Student achievements in April & May

 5th NCR Badminton and Table Tennis Tournament held at MRIS-14. Ishant Kathail, Parv Garg, Harkirat Singh, Aditya Anand won gold medal.  11th North Zone Roller Skating Championship-2017 organised by Delhi Roller Skating Association at G.R International School, Bhawana. Ryan Nangia of Grade-V C V Raman won the first position.  3rd Faridabad District Wushu Championship held at Vaish Bhawan, Faridabad. Vanya Dalal has won II position.  District Chess Championship held at Vidya Sanskar International School, Greater Faridabad.

DIVYANSH BHARTI won III position ,RIDHIMA MALHOTRA won III position , BHAVYA ANAND won X position, HIYA RAINA won VIII position.  Priyansh Arora of Grade-IV Atlantic has earned the grade-B of Brown Belt in Martial Arts  2nd Royale Shooting Championship 2017 held at Sec-12, Faridabad. Simran Sharma won Gold Medal.

Inter school Chess championship  U-13 Girls-Hiryana Raheja secured I position  U-15 Boys- Cyrus Chhikara won IV position  U-15 Girls-Ishika Arora won II position  U-17 Girls- Priyamvada Munjal triumphed by winning I,  U-17 - Kumari Kajal won II position  U-19 Girls- Hassi Chikkara made the school, proud by winning I prize in the category.

SUMMER VACATION SCHEDULE  The school office will remain open during vacations on all working days between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Children can avail the library facility till 30th May’2017. 

In case you have not paid the fee for your ward for the first quarter , You are once again reminded to pay the same before the completion of the Ist qtr as the second qtr will be due in July.
