Wisdom I

n life, all good things come hard, but wisdom is the hardest to come by. The theme of Meeting no: 2267 which held on 23rd January 2010 was Wisdom. The master of ceremonies TM Thuraya Juma posted a question to our fellow Toastmasters regarding their opinions on the wisdom in life. Their reply was the following • DTM Khalid AlQoud (The president): My wisdom is this: there are no gains without pains. • TM Neelesh Man Singh Pradhan (VP Membership): Wisdom for me means love and knowledge. • TM Osama Bahar (VP Public Relation): I learnt in my life two things: First, do not tell everything you know. Second, be kind and nice whatever, wherever, however you been through. • TM Mona Ali (Librarian) Treat people the way you want to be treated and if talk is silver, silence is gold. Life is full of wisdom and each

one of us should have wisdom to follow and I think they are really works. • TM Mariam Jacob: To me Wisdom came from the mistakes I made in life. Life is the most learning experience for anyone. Do not worry about mistakes. That's the time you learn!! • TM Abdulla Zuwayed: My Wisdom: Treat people like you would like to be treated and consult with the experts before you attempt new projects. • TM Sohail Niazi: Wisdom means saying and doing the right thing at the right time. • TM Bharat Patil: For me wisdom is the proper use of a mind to tackle difficult situations in life. • TM Claire Cosgrove What is wisdom - keeping one's mouth closed till one has understood the situation then speak carefully, sensitively and minimally.

• TM Hussain Eid: Wisdom in life: LIFE'S SHORT. If you don't look around once in a while you might miss it. Life teaches me about wisdom: that everything in our life runs in a cycle that ends up with what has been predetermined for us from God, however people’s satisfaction is an intent that can't be perceived. • TM Khalid Ghuzlani: My wisdom in life is about putting things into perspective, reminding ourselves that ultimately we are insignificant in the infinity of the universe, and that our presence on this earth, just like the one of our ancestors is temporary. Ultimately, wisdom is about "enjoying the ride" while being able to stomach the ups and downs of life and leaving a footprint of respect, love and consideration for others. • TM Zahra Hubail: The biggest wisdom in this life is to get and own the satisfaction of three: God, Yourself and people.
