Dearfriends,

It has been a tremendous journey through Alpha Rotary Year 2022-23. With a deep sense of gratitude, I pen this letter to highlight our collective achievements as the Rotary Club of Mumbai Kandivli, and to remember our late fellow Rotarian, Haren Gandhi.

The loss of Haren, a beacon of light in our club, leaves a void that words fail to describe. His commitment to service and his passionate dedication to the ethos of Rotary continues to inspire us all. His life, lived in service, reinforces the meaning and joy of being a Rotarian.

Despite our loss, our collective resolve remains unbroken. We continue to embody Rotary's motto, 'Service Above Self.' Our ongoing projects reflect this commitment.

Our medical projects have been a testament to this enduring legacy. The Cancer Screening Camp at Ramakrishna Mission Welfare Centre, Sakwar, the donation of medicines to charitable trust hospitals and old age homes, and the Breast Cancer Screening Camp for Naval staff and their families are among the initiatives that have deeply touched the lives of many.

We have continued to invest in sustainable efforts through our Green Fingers Phase-II project. The donation of two electric vehicles to the Sanjay Gandhi National Park is a step towards reducing carbon footprint and promoting sustainable transportation, reflecting our commitment to the health of our planet.

Acknowledging the vital need for proper sanitation facilities, we have made strides in renovating and constructing Toilet Blocks in Zilla Parishad schools of five villages in Wada taluka of Palghar District and the Manav Seva Old Age Home. The impact is already evident, improving health and well-being while boosting school attendance and enhancing living conditions for the elderly.
