Our Director-Youth Services, Rtn.Bandana Guha installed our nd2 Rotaract Club at GD Jalan College in Malad with the induction of 35 members. This was initiated by RCBK Rotaract President Yash Savla, who worked very closely with us and the institution. We welcome President Rutveek Mehta and wish him the best.
Rotractors at work
Rotaract Club of GD Jalan in collaboration with our Rotaract Club of Bombay Kandivli distributed 150 Sanitary Kits under Project Red in 3 villages in Aarey Colony. It was a great experience for the newly inducted Rotractors and guided very well by RCBK Rotaract President Yash Savla and his team on this meaningful programme. RCBK assisted them by providing Kits worth Rs 16000. Thanks to Rtn. Bandana for her constant guidance & motivation to both our Rotaract Clubs.



RCBK Sponsors fees for 5 Girl Students for their 10th Std Exams

RCBK sponsored fees for 5 Girl Students, who were in dire need and would have missed their final exams. We contributed Rs.18250 thru Shiksha Seva Foundation, whom we support every year. Thanks to the generosity of Rtn.Bandana and Rtn.Sandhya.

AMAZING DISCON
Heartiest Congratulations to DG and the complete team for one of the best Discon witnessed by us. The programme had amazing speakers and the snapshots of various projects , displayed the hard work by so many Club President's and District officials. The presense of the children ( including Munvir ) who benefitted from the largesse of Rotary. Such events truly highlight, what Rotary is all about and makes us all very proud. RCBK had one of the best participation with 10 members, who thoroughly enjoyed and and learnt a lot from the m e g a e v e n t . O u r c l u b w a s a l s o appreciated on new membership, being amongst the top 5 clubs. We are also
proud of our PP Deepa Goenka, who made a very impactful presentation on Project Red.



Club
NEW MEMBERS
At the start of the year, Rtn Swatantra Kumar Director of New Membership had announced that RCBK will be 100 plus club. With our membership drive at full throttle, RCBK achieved the invincible, of becoming a100 member club rdon 3 Feb. The enthusiasm with which Rtn.Swatantra Kumar and his team's work is truly infectious. believed in this dream and worked very hard to achieve it. The growth has not stopped, and we are inching to 110. We are now the 14th largest club amongst 110 odd clubs in our District 3141. It is also heartening to see the high quality of new members and their involvement in various projects and activities. To celebrate our century mark, we organised a Mega Induction Event for new members on 6th March, in the presence of our District Governor, Rtn. Dr Rajendra Agarwal. We inducted 15 new members and have a record of inducting 34 new members in the presence of our DG in three different events. We thank our DG for his time and blessings. It was an event, packed at Royal Court Hall at Evershine club with almost 100 guests.

FELLOWSHIP
thOn 20 Feb, we had an exciting and high energy fellowship programme of a cricket match between our neighbouring clubs and it was quite entertaining and build great teamwork and friendships, which is the hallmark of any fellowship event. Thanks to Rtn.Amit Gupta and the team for this seamless and enjoyable event. From th10 to 14th March, a group of 20 Rotarians and their families toured Kevadia and visited the iconic "Statue of Unity" of our great Leader, Sardar Vallabhai Patel, This is the first time that RCBK had organised such a long fellowship trip. Apart from sightseeing, which is a must for everyone, we also developed strong bonding amongst us. Thanks to Rtn.Lalit and Rtn.Deepali for organising this enjoyable trip. On 19th March, we had 40 Rotarians watch the movie "Kashmir Files" together. It was a nice experience watching a Movie together. Thanks, Rtn.Lalit. Such fellowship events bring us all together and are a nice opportunity to know and understand each other.


Rtn. CA Laxman K Prasad
CFO with Celebi India
Laxman was born and brought up in Rourkela Odisha, did is graduation from Sambalpur University and had completed his Chartered Accountancy (in First Attempt) from Kolkata. During college days his extra curriculum activities includes drama, anchoring and was also involved with National Literacy Mission.

After completion of CA in 1998 he had started his career in the field of audit and consultancy. After spending short span of one year in consultancy he moved to Voltas Ltd (A Tata Enterprise) initially based in Kolkata then transferred to Mumbai in 2001, since then he is living in Mumbai. After spending about five years with Voltas he had worked with Reliance for about one year then moved to Glenmark Pharmaceutical Ltd and was heading Business Finance Function of formulation business for India and CEE (Central and Easter Europe).
After working about six years with Glenmark he moved to CELEBI group (a Turkish multinational in aviation sector) in December 2010 and since then working with them in a leadership role as Chief Finance Officer (CFO).
His interest in social area is to do sustainable things for the betterment of society and planet, however more closure to heart is activity related to environment sustainability. Personally, he enjoys in travelling and exploring new places, cooking, reading etc.
He is married to Ranjana, a house maker with keen interest in Kathak, and he is blessed with two kids Mst Himanshu (19, doing CA Inter) and Ms. Prisha (16, 11th Std) and resides at Raheja Heights, Dindoshi, Malad (East).

Rtn. Arvind Maheshwari
Project Head at DDecor Exports

Currently working with DDecor Exports as Project Head, handling Key Business Expansion Initiatives, Capex Purchases and Import Operations. My work involves travel around the world to study and hand pick the best manufacturing technologies for our product line.
Hobbies - Sports, Travel, Playing Cards with Family.
Interests at RCBK - I would like to involve myself with implementation of various projects for the upliftment of less privileged fellow Indians.
