In an interesting twist of fate, Michelle recalls the time she almost didn’t pursue her relationship with her now other half. “I had planned a trip overseas to work, and didn’t really have any intention of coming home. Then, right before leaving I met Serkan,” says Michelle. “After only five weeks away, I knew I had to go home to him. Thankfully, I followed my heart because now we are married and have our little Harper. It makes me sick to think that if I hadn’t taken that risk, things might have been very different!” While Michelle, 29, still enjoys modelling, it’s becoming a mother that has proven to be her greatest endeavour. “My number one priority right now is being Harper’s mummy,” smiles Michelle. “It can be overwhelming, but I am learning to trust my instincts. There’s no time for self-doubt when a precious little human needs you to figure it all out for them!” So what has been the biggest change? “I’m no longer doing whatever I want, when I want,” laughs Michelle. “But, I wouldn’t have it any other way. At the end of the day, if there are unanswered emails and piles of washing, I can be proud knowing I’ve given my best effort as a mama. If I have time to reply to emails or shoot some content for the blog and social media during [Harper’s] naps, then that is a bonus!”

Social media has long been a creative outlet for this stylish mama and Michelle intends to keep sharing regular updates on her life with her audience of a whopping 190,000 followers on Instagram. “The number itself doesn’t mean a whole lot to me,” says Michelle. “But I am certainly grateful to have such a supportive audience to share the highlights of my life with. For me, it has always been a platform to inspire and be inspired.
