Day 3 – To Petra: Travel along the King’s Way, visiting Madaba, home to a Byzantine mosaic map of the region, Mount Nebo, where Moses first viewed the Holy Land, and the 12th-century crusader castle of Kerak. Continue to Petra and stay 2 nights at the Marriott Petra. (B, L, D)

Day 4 – Petra: Take a guided tour of Petra, the rose-red city rediscovered by JL Burckhardt in 1812. Enter the city through the Siq canyon, which opens out in front of the dramatic Treasury tomb. (B, D)
