Craft Day Success

A day of weaving and crafts at the St Joseph Church Hall attracted 25 enthusiastic people including children. Several weavers brought along their looms, some from Ashburton, while others watched and chatted or had a go at weaving on some smaller looms. Organiser Simone Hindun says, “We had a lovely day weaving sharing tips, ideas, and some delicious food. Weaving is often a somewhat solitary hobby as larger looms are heavy, so it’s always a treat to weave in a group.”
