“We train every fortnight on Monday evenings from 7pm to 9pm, mainly in Rolleston. We’re a very community-minded team, and we’d really like more volunteers to join us,” Angie concluded.

The Darfield Post Shop has always been a fantastic supporter of the Malvern Cancer Support Group, purchasing and selling daffodils in the past, with proceedsgoingtotheGroup.

Due to Covid Lockdowns and thinking outside the square Donna Hurndell from the Post Shop partnered up with Sue and Paul Robinson from RemaxRealEstatetopurchase 250 bags of yellow and green jelly beans to sell with the proceeds to go to the Malvern Cancer Support Group. The unique colour of the lollies was to keep in line with the colourofdaffodils.

The Malvern Cancer Support

Group, was recently presented with a $500 donation from the lolly sales and Remax Real Estate matched the donation, meaning the Group received $1,000 to help those affected by cancer in the local community.

Cancer touches everyone at some point, and the Group is immensely grateful for this amazingcontribution. The Group are there to support thoseaffectedbycancer,ifyou or someone you know needs their support, please feel free to contact the Group, they are only to happy to support membersofthecommunity.
