We love servicing the Selwyn area with all your tree needs and are thrilled to announce we are bringing another tree lover to the community. In saying this, we are putting the harnesses, chainsaws and pruning gear down to focus on our family until early February. We are still available for emergency work and quotes so please get in touch if we can help with any of your tree needs.

Hope that you all have a great break and see you in 2023.

Recently, a very special Kirwee Volunteer Fire Brigade presentation took place at the Kirwee Community Hall. After a two year wait due to the Covid pandemic, SFF Stu Begg was finally presented with his 25 year Gold Star for services to the Kirwee Volunteer Fire Brigade and community. Stu joined the Brigade in 1995 and has been the resident secretary since 1996, completing more than 25 years in this position. He has been and still is, a great asset to the Brigade, and continues serving the Brigade and his community. Stu was presented with his Gold Star by Volunteer Fire Brigade Association President Mike Allen, surrounded by family, friends and Fire representatives. Waitaha/Canterbury has numerous stunning swimming spots to cool off in during the hot summer days, but it’s important to be aware of water quality issues and how to stay informed. Before heading to the beach, river or lake to swim, visit the Can I Swim Here? sec on of the LAWA website, and look for water quality signs when you’re there. Over the summer ECan monitor more than 100 popular swim and recrea on sites in Waitaha/Canterbury to check for bacteria (E. coli and enterococci) as well as poten ally toxic algae (cyanobacteria) that might be harmful.
