A new home-based beauty studio has opened in Darfield. After graduating and practising beauty therapy in Cape Town, it was always Roxanne Fennell’s goal to open her own salon. After immigrating to New Zealand four and a half years ago, Roxanne and her husband Gareth decided to relocate their family to Darfield from Auckland. They wanted to embrace community living and be closer to their family, the Grenfell's. The Fennell family are thoroughly enjoying being part of the friendly community. Post-Covid and challenges around remote working ignited Roxanne’s dream, and Renew by Roxanne was created. This home and owner run salon offers a variety of professional beauty services in a relaxed environment. “What I enjoy about being a beauty therapist is the client interaction and making people feel pampered. Inviting people into a calm environment where they are able to relax and unwind is my main goal. I want to ensure each treatment makes the client feel special and has a personal touch.
