Números da Indústria Brasileira de Árvores (Ibá) apontam que a média das exportações brasileiras do setor de florestal é de US$ 10,7 bilhões. Todo o segmento gera 3,7 milhões de empregos e é responsável por 6,1% do PIB. A silvicultura é uma atividade sustentável e renovável, e a madeira é uma matéria-prima biodegradável. Para discutir todo este cenário e aprofundar
questões, cinco encontros técnicos, realizados no Campus da Indústria do Sistema Fiep, fizeram parte da programação da III Semana Internacional da Madeira: 3º WoodTrade Brazil; 2º ProWood; 3º Encontro Brasileiro de Biomassa e Energia da Madeira (EBEM); e os inéditos Floresta 4.0 e Gis Forest. Os eventos florestais (Floresta 4.0 e Gis Forest) reuniram 200 participantes; e os encontros da indústria da madeira (ProWood e EBEM) outros 151. E o WoodTrade, que abordou o mercado

The third edition of the Week was a success in terms of visitors and businesses, proving that, even in an adverse environment, the Brazilian wood production chain remains active to gain an even greater space in the global market.
